Five questions to ask before the cape goes on — so you walk out with the service you booked, at the price you were quoted.
The upsell isn't always pushy. Most of the time it's a polite suggestion at the wash station — which is exactly when you're least likely to say no.
The 5 questions to ask
What's the total before tax? Is the wash included? What's the price difference if it takes longer than expected? Are there any 'kit' charges? Can you write the estimate on the bill before we start?
The 'free trial' trap
A free conditioner trial often turns into a ₹600 'treatment' on the bill. Always clarify trial = zero cost, not 'discounted'.
Wash-station upsells to refuse politely
Hair botox add-ons mid-service, 'special masks', 'extended scalp massage' — none of these were in your booking and none belong in this bill.
Green flags
The stylist says 'you don't need keratin right now'. The receptionist quotes the full price upfront. The bill matches the menu, line by line.
