Gel nail extensions last 2–3 weeks before lifting and feel lighter on the natural nail. Acrylic extensions are stronger and last 3–4 weeks, ideal for shorter nail beds or hands-on jobs. Both need an infill every 3 weeks; soaking off and removing properly is essential — peeling damages the nail plate. We always include a free 2-week check-in.

Gel nails look more natural and are gentler on the nail plate. Acrylics are stronger, cheaper and best for very short natural nails.

Gel nail extensions cure under UV/LED light, look glossier and more natural, and are gentler on the underlying nail — best for everyday wear and shorter sets. Acrylics are mixed with monomer, cure in air, are stronger and cheaper, and hold long sculpted shapes better — best for stiletto, ballerina or stage-length nails. Both are safe when removed professionally; peeling either is what damages the nail.
