Privacy Policy

The Jawed Habib Unisex Luxury Salon (“we”, “us”, “the salon”) operates this website and the reception desk dashboard. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what we collect and why.

1. Information we collect

When you use this site, we may collect:

  • Contact details you submit — name, mobile number, WhatsApp number, email, preferred service, date, time slot, and any notes or concerns shared via our appointment form, free consultation form, AI chatbot, or membership signup.
  • Conversation history — messages exchanged with our on-site AI beauty chatbot, including images you choose to upload for hair or skin advice.
  • Activity events — pages you visit, CTAs you tap (WhatsApp, Call, Book), and the path that led you to those clicks. We log these to follow up on enquiries and improve the experience.
  • Technical data — browser type, device, language, referring URL and an anonymous session identifier stored in your browser.

2. How we use it

  • To confirm appointments, follow up on enquiries, and offer personalised service recommendations.
  • To allow authorised reception staff to call or WhatsApp you back via the internal reception dashboard.
  • To improve the website, salon menu, and customer journey based on aggregated activity.
  • To send transactional WhatsApp confirmations and reminders for appointments you’ve requested.
  • To comply with applicable Indian laws and to defend our legal rights when necessary.

3. Who can see your data

Your enquiry data is visible only to authorised reception and management staff via a password-protected dashboard at /reception. Database access is enforced server-side with row-level security. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-party processors

We use the following trusted infrastructure providers to deliver our services. Each is bound by their own privacy commitments:

  • Supabase / Lovable Cloud — database, authentication and file storage.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — to deliver messages you choose to send to the salon.
  • Google Analytics & Google Ads — anonymised traffic and conversion measurement.
  • Lovable AI Gateway — processing AI chatbot prompts (no payment data is shared).

5. Retention

Appointment, consultation and chatbot records are retained for up to 24 months from your last interaction so we can serve you better on return visits. Anonymous activity logs are retained for up to 12 months. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 7).

6. Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies and localStorage entries to remember your language, your cart, your AI chat session, and whether you’ve dismissed our privacy notice. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of inaccurate data.
  • Withdraw consent for further processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and above. Salon services for minors must be requested by a parent or guardian.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
