Most kids' visits here are part of a family visit — a parent's haircut, colour or threading in the next chair while the child's cut happens. That's the easiest pattern for everyone: the child sees a parent relaxed in a salon chair, and nobody makes a second trip. WhatsApp the family's list and we'll schedule it as one block.
First haircuts, done gently
A first haircut works best when it isn't a surprise. Sit your child on your lap at home and comb their hair a few times in the days before, so hands-near-the-head feels normal. Book a time when they're fed and rested — for most toddlers that's late morning — and plan for the visit to take twice as long as the cut.
At the chair, the stylist introduces the comb first, scissors second, and starts at the back where it's least ticklish. A parent stays within arm's reach the whole time. If tears win, we stop and reschedule — a scary first visit costs far more than a rebooked slot.
