Highlights are lighter strands of hair lifted by 2–4 shades using foils or caps, woven through the natural base to add dimension. Fine highlights (babylights) mimic natural sun-bleach; chunky highlights give a stronger frame. Best for clients who want more contrast than balayage offers and don't mind a 6–8 week touch-up cycle.
