Body polishing is a full-body exfoliation and nourishment ritual — scrub away dull, dead surface skin, then feed what is underneath. It is the treatment brides book before a wedding and everyone else discovers late. At The Jawed Habib Unisex Luxury Salon, Bagalur, it is one clear price with no length or area surcharges.

Quick answer
Full body polishing is ₹4,500 at The Jawed Habib, Bagalur (regular ₹8,000; offer price, 5% GST included). It takes around 60–75 minutes, and it is the single best pre-event skin treatment we offer. Reva Circle, Bagalur Main Road, open 10 AM–9 PM daily.
What body polishing actually does
Three stages, in order:
- Exfoliation — a full-body scrub lifts dead surface skin, the layer that makes everything look dull and grey no matter how much moisturiser you use.
- Treatment — brightening and nourishing actives reach skin that can finally absorb them.
- Seal — a massage and mask lock in hydration.
The reason it looks dramatic is mostly stage one. Most people have never had their back, shoulders and upper arms properly exfoliated, and those are exactly the areas a saree, lehenga or reception outfit exposes.

Why brides book it, and when
Because the outfit decides what shows. Backless blouses, sleeveless lehengas and reception gowns expose the exact areas that never get attention, and makeup does not sit well on flaky skin.
Timing matters more than most people realise: book it 3 to 5 days before the event, not the day before. Skin needs a couple of days to settle after a full exfoliation, and same-day polishing can leave you slightly flushed in photographs. If you are doing a bridal makeup trial, schedule the polishing before it, not after.
Pair it with
- A de-tan if there are visible tan lines to lift — de-tan first, polishing after.
- A facial for the face, which polishing does not cover.
- A manicure and pedicure, since hands and feet are in every photograph.
Booked together these run as one sitting. Tell us the event date when you book and we will sequence them properly.
Not just for weddings
The other times it earns its place: after a long summer, before a holiday, at the end of a stretch of pollution and commuting, or when nothing you put on your skin seems to absorb any more. That last one is almost always a build-up problem rather than a moisturiser problem, and exfoliation is the fix.
How often
Every 6 to 8 weeks is plenty for most skin. More often than that and you are exfoliating faster than skin renews, which leaves it sensitised rather than glowing — we will say so if you ask for it sooner.
